GLA started training sessions at NOVA

In the scope of the USAID Industry-led Skills Development Program, the Georgian Logistics Association (GLA) started training sessions at the Georgian construction materials manufacturing and trade company- NOVA. The training contains three main areas: Supply chain and inventory management, warehouse logistics and secondary transportation/delivery planning.  In the training, more than 60 employees of Nova will be participating.

 

The training course has been elaborated by GLA experts based on a supply chain and logistics skills needs assessment conducted by GLA in July this year. The main target of the training includes upgrading of skills of NOVA’s staff and supporting the company in the adoption of modern practices in logistics management.

 

More concrete training topics include the development of an integrated supply chain management system at the company, modern practices of warehouse operations and improvement of secondary transportation/delivery planning. A crucial part of the training are overview of case studies and interactive work, which enables NOVA’s staff to deepen its theoretical knowledge and apply international best practices in the logistics process planning and performance measurement.
